ACADEMY34 is a heavily story-driven erotic visual novel, the game, which brings whole new meaning to the word "wholesome".
While the market of similarly explicit games is oversaturated with stories, where the main protagonist is a rather unlikable individual, we took a vastly different approach, carefully crafting the world in which you will be able to get invested into the story and characters, help them overcome their personal problems, craft a healthy relationship built on understanding and trust, and then get invited into their bed, instead of forcing your way in.
If you think that sounds a bit too vanilla for your liking, you might be pleasantly surprised once you play it.
In ACADEMY34 you are taking on a role of a freshman cadet, who had just enrolled into the prestigious Sentinel Academy, a place, where young people train to become Agents, dedicating their lives to protecting the world from the terror and, basically, just bad things in general. In reality, no matter how pompous this place is trying to appear, it is still a yet another rich school, filled with hundreds of young adults trying to figure out their place in life. The moment you made your first step on the grounds of this Academy, you realized that maybe you are not ready to become an agent just yet. The idea of dedicating your life sounded so heroic, but now there's a strange lingering thought inside your mind — You want to experience that absurd and chaotic student life. You really do. Though, not like it depends on your choice, as misadventures have already begun!
- Experience the absolute disarray of being a student, find new friends and partners, get intimate and accidentally discover a reason why that one cute girl in particular had a leash, but no pets in sight.
- Get involved into drama, become a personal therapist for an unhinged hacker girl, make her fall in love with you and commit a federal crime in the name of love.
- Discover so many new ways to express affection, including but not limited to: Performing a summoning ritual on the parking lot, opening up a gate to countless alternative realities, solving global warming crisis and many more!

ACADEMY34 is totally free, but just as with other similar projects ACADEMY34 features early access to new updates for Patrons, but eventually, usually in around a month after initial release, all of those updates get a public release. You don't have to pay a dime to enjoy our game, but if you want to support us, it would help immensely!

how do i progres past the first day
I downloaded the Latest Public release (v0.27.2.4) for Windows, and the Hanako route seems to be bugged. I never started it until now, and the first conversation with Haru gives me an error of "NameError: Name 'hanako' is not defined", and I also get the same error when getting to her page in the Tasks book.
If I try and progress in her story, any time her name is said in dialogue or she's supposed to be on screen, I get that error.

guys, i just downloaded the free version 0.27.2.4, unzipped the file, and the .exe doesn't seem to work, only my mouse does the loading animation and nothing else. the Task Manager also shows no activity for the game. any idea what might be going on?
I should add that I never played the previous versions so it's not like I tried to move a previous save file and messed it up. it's a fresh file.
That's unusual, since the game doesn't require any additional preparations to be launched. Would you mind redownloading the archive again? There's a chance it got corrupted at some point during loading. And make sure you unzipped all of the archive's contents before launching the game.
Additionally, I'd recommend double-checking if the path to your files contains any special symbols or non-English letters, since it tends to break something about how our engine operates.
Guys, after I finish the captain's route, what can I interact with her, like can I fuck her again or its only footjob and blowjob, please tell me if there is another way
Captain Nami has multiple masturbation scenes, vanilla sex scene, footjob and blowjob scenes. If you unlocked all of the above, then you probably hit the end of her current route progression. Don't worry though, we're already planning the next part!

Hey, so I am having a real hard time getting this game to work. The game launches fine but whenever I go to load up the gallery it crashes and brings up a traceback.txt but I cannot figure out the root cause.
Are you, by any chance, using an old save? Because that's mainly the root problem of such bugs.
Can you send us the traceback.txt? Maybe on pastebin?
think i accidentally found a bug in the game, I did the captain nami route before Aurelie's route and now Clyde won't show up to the shooting range so I can't start her route or get to luca

Is it just me or is the hanako route a little broken? It says to go to sleep, and when I do nothing happens?
Yeah, sorry, it's a bug that appeared in the latest public release. We're currently trying to fix it.
For some reason i cant use the meteorology or technology books in my room. am i in the wrong place or is it bugged?
You can read them on the computer in your room if I recall correctly
Sadly my computer only has the spycam option. And when i try to use either of them from my inventory, it says "Somehow i have the strong urge to use this item, even though it has no use here and now..."
Edit: i figured it out. i had to do the homework option at midday or evening. thank you!
is there a way to download old releases? in this version I can't complete hanako cuz sleeping won't trigger her, and according to all my searching her trigger is stopping clyde from showing in the shooting range, so I'm locked out of Aurelie, Luca, and Hanako in this current version and it won't fix no mater how many times I restart or redownload

Hey, no worries and thanks! I just checked, and first night I slept after patching I got the call from Hanako, and then as soon as I finished her content Clyde appeared in the shooting range. Thanks so much for the assistance! The game is great so far, and I look forward to future releases!

We want to, but there is still so much work to be done to make this game into a proper actual GAME to put it on steam. Stay tuned for more news regarding the "Overahuled Version" if you're interested in that.

We're still trying to figure out the Clyde bug, but we just released version 27.1.3 and Hanako bug should be fixed there!
I have a question about the next update. You said there would be branching paths, but does that mean there will be multiple endings, i.e. a "good" ending, a "bad" ending, etc.?
As of now - no. It's more of a "you did that other route, so you get a different interaction" kind of thing.
It's the first time we're trying to add more player interactions. And if things go well, who knows, maybe one day good and bad endings will be on the table!

I played a lot of older versions of this game and I wanna try to wait until the game is done to play again, but I don't know how far away that is lol
We update our roadmap every half year or so. And after releasing the last "male route" we will update the roadmap.
Currently, we would suggest to wait till you see any news from us about the Academy Overhaul. We've been working for the last 2 years on updating the BGs, adding music, reworking interface and many other things. Once we release that version with all the updated old content - it would be the perfect time to play the game, if you want to get the full experience!

I think I found a bug that causes the harem route to happen out of order. I clicked the option to start a harem with andre, but decided to do it later. The next day, Blaze was talking to Andre even though in the journal it was telling me I hadn't started it yet.
Thanks for reporting that — we notified our programmer about this, so hopefully we will be able to figure out what's wrong pretty soon!

Currently only Sonya has the new remade route. It's just that her content was so old, she left a bad impression most of the time for the new players.
Seraphina will also get a story revamp, and an updated design, just like Sonya:

I like the style they had, but at least with Sonya I....might be starting to understand where your coming from, that was not fully perfect.

No hate here, but I believe I was thinking of a dress up game for a second, I just needed some time to figure out that was my first impression when I saw the picture.
That doesn't means I hate it, but at least the Doc was okay for me and I hope the akward girl, as well as Blaze aren't included in the changes.

edit: I want to admit that I reacted mostly with what i remembered from the game, but I also took a short look. I will most likely play it anyway in the end, but I think it was or is not all bad, I was able to see something nice in it.
It's not that the character didn't have it's charm, more so it was disproportionate and different from all the other sprites (apart from mc) and it was a bit jarring.
I do have another question, on steam I know what to do, but would be the right method to save some savestates and possibly reuse them later like a backup? In chase I want to make some room, but not totally lose my progress.

I don't remember how or why and I believe I need to restart the game sadly, but it seems like it kept my old 0.17 version or somehing installed.
I could swear i downloaded updates but i noticed i never got it seems. I didn't payed enough attention to tbe sure but I am using the itch.io app as long as I can.
